Johnson & Wales

With the great Johnson & Wales/RIPTA partnership, all you have to do is hop on a bus or trolley and show your student ID.

You can use your student ID as a personal pass to get around campus or head off campus anywhere in Rhode Island on RIPTA’s trolleys and buses year round. Whether it’s a weekend getting around Providence, a road trip to Newport, or to visit a friend at another school, you can ride RIPTA to get there.

How to travel between J&W facilities:

Harborside Campus/Downtown Campus — Use Route #3 (Warwick Ave.) line and board at Gaebe Commons for downtown campus or outside Recreational Center for *Harborside Campus.
* Only certain trips deviate off Allens Ave. to the Harborside Campus. See schedule for details.

Edmunds Hall/Downtown Campus — Use Route #33 (Riverside) or Route #35 (Rumford) and board at *Kennedy Plaza for downtown campus or Taunton Ave. in front of Edmunds Hall.

* Route #33 bus stop located at Stop N;
Route #35 bus stop located at Stop M.

Downtown Campus/Kennedy Plaza — Board any RIPTA bus or trolley that stops at Gaebe Commons for transportation to Kennedy Plaza.

Downtown Campus — From Kennedy Plaza board any Gold Line South Side trolley, or take Route #11 (Broad Street), #20 (Elmwood Ave.), or #22 (Reservoir/Pontiac Ave.) to J&W campus.
