Gibbs College

With the great Gibbs College/RIPTA partnership, all you have to do is hop on a bus or trolley and tap your student ID on the smart card reader on the e-farebox.

You can use your student ID as a personal pass to get around campus or head off campus anywhere in Rhode Island on RIPTA’s trolleys and buses year round. Whether it’s a weekend getting around Providence, a road trip to Newport, or to visit a friend at another school, you can ride RIPTA to get there.

Providence by bus

Board RIPTA route #31 Cranston Street to the Kennedy Plaza Intermodal Transportation Center.

Providence Amtrak Train Station (MBTA)
Follow the directions above to go to Kennedy Plaza. Take bus #50 Douglas Avenue,#56 Chalkstone/Mt. Pleasant, #57 Smith Street, or the Gold Line Trolley marked State House until 7pm.

T.F. Green Airport
Follow the directions above to go to Kennedy Plaza. Take either RIPTA route #12 Airport/East Greenwich or route #66 Providence/URI to the Airport.

Newport by bus
Follow the directions above to go to Kennedy Plaza. Take route #60 Providence/Newport to the Newport Gateway Visitors Center.

Can I travel anywhere in Rhode Island including the airport or train stations using my student ID?
Yes, you can use it on any RIPTA trolley or bus..
