Providence College
With the great Providence College/RIPTA partnership, all you have to do is hop on a bus or trolley and show your student ID.
You can use your student ID as a personal pass to get around campus or head off campus anywhere in Rhode Island on RIPTA’s trolleys and buses year round. Whether it’s a weekend getting around Providence, a road trip to Newport, or to visit a friend at another school, you can ride RIPTA to get there.
Campus Service
The #55 Admiral St. bus will travel through the Providence College Campus up and down Huxley Ave. Service is also available on Smith Street on the #57 line and on Douglas Ave. on the #50 line.
Downcity, Providence Place Mall and Kennedy Plaza
To reach Downcity, board the #55 Admiral St. bus on Huxley Ave. as it travels in the direction of Admiral St. The bus travels right by Providence Place and terminates at Kennedy Plaza. Transfers to other popular destinations are available at the Plaza. See schedules for details.
Shaws Market on Admiral St.
To reach the Shaws Market, board the bus on Huxley Ave. as it travels in the direction of Eaton St.
Amtrak/Greyhound/Bonanza/T.F.Green Airport
The #55 bus travels from campus right by the Amtrak station. To reach Bonanza and Greyhound, take bus 55 to Kennedy Plaza. To reach the airport from Kennedy Plaza, take any #12 bus (there's also limited express airport trips on #66). Check schedules for details.
Late Night Service
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, late night service is available to and from Downcity until 12:45 am. Check schedule for details.
