RIPTA TO DETOUR THREE BUS ROUTES IN PROVIDENCE ON SUNDAY, APRIL 27, 2014 TO ACCOMMODATE RISD BICYCLE RACE

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour three bus routes in the Providence area on Sunday, April 27, 2014 to accommodate the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Bicycle Race. Routes 33, 34, and 60 will be detoured from 6:00am to 6:30pm.

The following detours will be in effect on Sunday, April 27th from 6:00am – 6:30pm:

Route 33 (Riverside):
Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Memorial Boulevard and South Water Street, continue onto Memorial Boulevard through to Dyer Street to Eddy Street, left onto Point Street, right onto South Water Street, and then resume regular route.

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Interstate 195 West and I-95 North, take a right onto Exit 22, right onto Francis Street through to Dorrance Street, left onto Washington Street, and then resume regular route.

Route 34 (East Providence):
Please refer to the Route 33 (Riverside) detour.

Route 60 (Providence/Newport):
Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Memorial Boulevard and South Water Street, continue onto Memorial Boulevard through to Eddy Street, left onto Point Street, right onto South Water Street, and then resume regular route.

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Interstate 195 West and I-95 North, take a right onto Exit 22 through to Memorial Boulevard, and then right onto Exchange Street to Bus Stop Q.
