SUMMARY:NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED BEACH SHUTTLE PILOT PROGRAM
DESCRIPTION:Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 39-18-4 of Rhode Island General Laws\, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) hereby gives notice of its intent to hold a public hearing on a proposed beach shuttle pilot program.  The beach shuttle will run on weekends and holidays\, June 19 through August 27\, 2021 in the Newport and Middletown area. \nA virtual public hearing will be held on Thursday\, April 29 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm to collect public comments.  Please sign-up in advance by emailing marketing@ripta.com or leaving a message at 401-784-9500 x1242\, before 5pm on Wednesday\, April 28. \nThis hearing will be accessible to persons with disabilities and upon request\, persons with limited English proficiency.  RIPTA will provide translation and interpreter services for the deaf and hearing impaired\, provided such a request is made at least 72 hours prior to the hearing date.
