RIPTA Launches New Wave to Work Commuter Benefits Program

RIPTA to Detour Route 4 (Warwick Ave.) to Accommodate Gaspee Days Parade on Saturday, June 11, 2022
🗓️ June 9, 2022 - The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 4 (Warwick Ave.) on Saturday, June 11, 2022 to accommodate the Gaspee Days Parade. The detour will be in effect from the first trip of the day until 2:00pm.
RIPTA Expands Flex Service to Manville
🗓️ June 27, 2022 - Improving Public Transportation Access to Hundreds of Residents The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) today announced the expansion of Flex Service 281 (Woonsocket/Manville) into Manville, Rhode Island. Passengers can travel within the local Flex Zone, which includes Woonsocket and Manville, in addition to connecting to RIPTA’s fixed-route, statewide service.

The Sunday/Holiday schedule will apply to all regular fixed-route buses and trolleys.

🗓️ July 20, 2022 - Middletown and Newport July 2022– Health and human service nonprofits located along RIPTA’s new Route 68 encourage residents to take advantage of the free “city to beach” shuttle this summer, particularly if they need to get to one of their sites. Route 68 service connects neighborhoods in the north end of Newport to local beaches
