Next Stop: Quonset!
The Qx, or Quonset Express, takes passengers to and from the Quonset Business Park. Starting June 23, 2025, this route will be extended to start its express service at the Clinton St. Park & Ride in Woonsocket, stopping in Providence on the way into Quonset and the major employers there. It will operate on weekdays, with trips from Quonset back to Kennedy Plaza and Woonsocket.
The updated schedule will provide a seamless connection that aligns with Electric Boat’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift schedules.
The Qx brings public transportation to an important Rhode Island jobs location where there are more than 200 businesses. It gives employees a chance to cut down on the stress of a daily driving commute, save money, and help the environment.
