  The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) will temporarily close a section of Oaklawn Avenue at the Route 37 overpass in Cranston during late evening and overnight hours. The closures will take place Sunday through Thursday nights, for the next two to three weeks, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM each night so RIDOT can begin bridge demolition work.

  Route 30 will be on detour for the next few weeks from Sundays through Thursdays. Only the following trips are affected:

  Outbound departing at 9:10 PM from Kennedy Plaza.

  • This trip will travel the regular route to Oaklawn Ave. and Sherman Ave., turn right onto Sherman Ave., left onto Cranston St., continue onto Vinton Ave., continue onto Exchange St., turn left onto Wilbur Ave., right onto Oaklawn Ave. and resume the regular route.

  Inbound departing at 9:23 PM from CCRI Warwick.

  • This trip will travel the regular route to Oaklawn Ave. and Wilbur Ave., turn left onto Wilbur Ave., right onto Exchange St., continue onto Vinton Ave., continue onto Cranston St., turn right onto Sherman Ave., left onto Oaklawn Ave. and resume the regular route.
