RIPTA’S Fall Service Changes To Take Effect Saturday, August 28, 2021

🗓️ August 24, 2021 - Changes Include Route Retiming for Improved Performance And a New Route for Service South of URI The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will implement its fall service changes effective Saturday, August 28, 2021. RIPTA makes regular service adjustments three times a year in response to seasonal changes and/or passenger use.

🗓️ September 27, 2021 - The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour twenty-one bus routes in the downtown Providence area on Sunday, October 17, 2021, in order to accommodate the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. RIPTA to Detour Sixteen Routes in Providence To Accommodate the Gloria Gemma 5k On Sunday, October 3, 2021

🗓️ September 30, 2021 - The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour sixteen bus routes in the downtown Providence area on Sunday, October 3, 2021 in order to accommodate the Gloria Gemma 5K. Routes 1, 30, 33, 34, 35, 51, 54, 60, 72, 78, 92 and the R-Line will be detoured from 9:30am to 1pm.
