Due to Post-Blizzard Conditions, RIPTA to Suspend All Service, Including RIde Paratransit, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026

 February 24, 2026 Providence, Rhode Island — The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will suspend all service on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, due to post-blizzard conditions and ongoing safety concerns. The safety of RIPTA passengers and employees is the Authority’s top priority.

In Preparation for Blizzard Conditions, RIPTA to Suspend All Service, Including RIde Paratransit, Beginning at 9pm tonight, Sunday, February 22, 2026, through Monday, February 23, 2026

 February 22, 2026 In anticipation of blizzard conditions, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) has suspended all service effective 9:00 PM today, Sunday, February 22 through Monday, February 23, 2026. RIPTA will announce once a decision has been made to reinstate all service. All RIPTA Offices including the Ticket Sales in Kennedy Plaza and the Pawtucket-Central Falls Transit Center will be closed on Monday, February 23, 2026. RIPTA and RIde Customer Service information and reservations lines will also not be staffed on Monday.

Routes 1, 3, 4, 6, 20, 22, 27, 32, 33, 34, 40, 51, 54, 58, 60, 61, and 72 are currently on detour.
