Roosevelt Avenue will be closed during this time.

Routes R-Line, 1, 3, 4, 6, 10x, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 31, 33, 34, 51, 54, 58, 56, 60, 63, 64, 65x, 68, 72, 78 and 92 are currently on detour. Riders may expect some delays on all routes due to weather conditions and are advised to use extreme caution at bus stops due to decreased visibility and slippery conditions.

 February 25, 2026 Providence, Rhode Island — The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will resume service on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, following the Governor’s decision to lift the statewide travel ban. As the state’s public transportation provider, RIPTA plays an essential role in supporting the safe reopening of the state’s economy. While the most severe impacts of Winter Storm Hernando have passed, safety remains RIPTA’s top priority as the state begins reopening and recovery efforts continue.

 February 22, 2026 In anticipation of blizzard conditions, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) has suspended all service effective 9:00 PM today, Sunday, February 22 through Monday, February 23, 2026. RIPTA will announce once a decision has been made to reinstate all service. All RIPTA Offices including the Ticket Sales in Kennedy Plaza and the Pawtucket-Central Falls Transit Center will be closed on Monday, February 23, 2026. RIPTA and RIde Customer Service information and reservations lines will also not be staffed on Monday.
