RIPTA HOSTS STUFF A BUS WITH LOVE DRIVE TO BENEFIT HASBRO CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is partnering with Alex and Ani Charity by Design, WPRI 12, Cox Media, WHJJ 920 News Radio, Coast 93.3 and B101 for the Stuff A Bus with Love Teddy Bear Drive to benefit the Hasbro Children’s Hospital. The public is invited to help Stuff A Bus by donating a brand new, unused teddy bear in its original packaging. Each person who donates will receive a special gift from Alex and Ani (while supplies last and one per customer) and a RIPTA t-shirt. RIPTA will be collecting teddy bears at the Alex and Ani flagship store in Cranston on the following dates and times:

Saturday, February 1 • 11AM – 3PM

If you are unable to attend either drive but would like to donate a teddy bear, stop by RIPTA’s headquarters at 705 Elmwood Avenue in Providence between now and February 12, 2014 from 8:30am – 4:30pm; weekdays only.

RIPTA, the State’s Mobility Manager, operates over 3,000 daily bus trips on over 50 bus routes throughout the state. Last year, we provided 20 million rides. RIPTA also offers passenger van “Flex” services in areas not served by fixed-route bus service.
