RIPTA to Detour Route 66 (URI/Galilee) To Accommodate the Wakefield Oktoberfest On Saturday, October 5, 2019

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 66 (URI/Galilee) on Saturday, October 5, 2019 in order to accommodate Wakefield Oktoberfest.   The detour will be in effect from 10am to 6pm. Main Street will be closed at that time from Kenyon Avenue to Robinson Street.

The detour is as follows:

ROUTE 66 (URI/GALILEE):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Wakefield Mall, turn right onto Old Tower Hill Road, left onto Rte. 108 Kingston Rd., right onto Rte. 1 South, right at the Pond Street Exit, right onto Main Street, left onto High Street and then resume regular route.

Outbound tripswill travel the regular route to the intersection of High and Main Streets, right onto Main Street, left onto Pond Street to Rte. 1 North, right at the Wakefield Exit, left onto Narragansett Avenue, left onto Old Tower Hill Road to the Wakefield Mall, and then resume regular route.
