Detour will be in effect from 8am until 11:30am

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour six bus routes in the Pawtucket area on Thursday, November 24, 2022, to accommodate the Turkey Trot 5K.  Bus routes 1, 71, 72, 75, 78, and R-Line will be detoured from 8:00am to 11:30am. Roosevelt Avenue will be closed during this time. 

The following routes will detour from 8:00am until 11:30am:

Route 1 (Eddy/Hope/Benefit):

NORTH Outbound trips will travel regular route to the intersection of Main and High Streets, left onto Exchange Street through to Goff Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Main Street, and then right onto Goff Street.  Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market). Trips servicing the South Attleboro Train Station will then continue onto Exchange Street and then resume regular route.

SOUTH Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Exchange and Dexter Streets, left

onto Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Main Street, and then right onto Goff Street.  Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market). Trips will then turn onto Dexter Street and then resume regular route.

Route 71 (Broad Street):

Inbound trips will travel to the regular route to the intersection of Broad and Goff Streets, right onto Goff Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street.  Passengers will board and alight on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).

Outbound trips will leave Goff and Dexter Streets, turn left onto Broad Street, and then resume regular route.

Route 72 (Weeden/Central Falls):

Inbound trips will travel regular route to Goff Street and Dexter Streets.  Passengers will board and alight on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).

Outbound trips will leave via a left onto Dexter Street and then resume regular route.

Route 75 (Dexter/Lincoln Mall):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Dexter and Goff Streets, continue on Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street.  Passengers will board and alight on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).

Outbound trips will leave Dexter and Goff Streets, turn left onto Dexter Street, and then resume regular route.

Route 78 (Beverage Hill):

Inbound trips will travel regular route to Prospect and Division Streets, left onto Division Street, right onto George Street through to Park Place (West), left onto Main Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street.  Passengers will board and alight on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).

Outbound trips will leave Goff and Dexter Streets, turn right onto Dexter Street through to Park Place, left onto Division Street, right onto School Street, and then resume regular route. 

R-Line (Broad/North Main):

Inbound trips will leave Goff and Dexter Streets, take a right onto Dexter Street, and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to Goff and Dexter Streets. Passengers will board and alight on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).
