RIPTA TO DETOUR ROUTE 6 (PRAIRIE/R.W. ZOO) AND ROUTE 11 (BROAD ST) TO ACCOMMODATE THE PUERTO RICAN PARADE ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 26, 2012

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 6 (Prairie/R.W. Zoo) and Route 11 (Broad St.) on Sunday, August 26, 2012 in order to accommodate the Puerto Rican Parade.   The detours will be in effect from 9:30am until 12:00pm.  Route 6 (Prairie/R.W. Zoo) will not service the Roger Williams Park Zoo during this time.

The detours are as follows:

ROUTE #6 (BROAD ST.):

Inbound tripswill run regular route from Public Street and Prairie Avenue.

Outbound trips will terminate at Public Street and Prairie Avenue.

Route 6 (Prairie/R.W. Zoo) will not service the Roger Williams Park Zoo during this time.

ROUTE #11 (BROAD ST.):

Inbound tripswill travel the regular route to Broad and Eddy Streets, right onto Eddy Street, left onto Potters Street, right onto Broad Street and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Broad and Potters Streets, left onto Potters Street, right onto Eddy Street through to Broad Street and then resume regular route.
