Kingston Station Transit Hub Project

RIPTA is looking to establish a comprehensive transit hub at Kingston Station to enhance bus facilities, passenger amenities, and connections between Amtrak rail service and RIPTA, bus, paratransit, and Flex On Demand service, as well as access to the William C. O’Neill Bike Path. The completed hub will support future improvements to RIPTA’s services to Kingston Station and ridership growth for both RIPTA and Amtrak.

By addressing the growing transportation needs of the community and fostering multimodal connections, this project supports the goals of Rhode Island’s Transit Forward RI 2040 master plan, the Statewide Bicycle Mobility Plan, and the state’s Long Range Transportation Plan – Moving Forward RI 2050.
