Press Releases

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will operate all fixed-route services on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Thursday, November 28, 2013 in observance of Thanksgiving Day, an official state holiday.

Photo ID Office and Ticket Sales Offices Closed on November 28th
The Photo Identification and Ticket Sales Offices in Kennedy Plaza will not be staffed on the Thanksgiving holiday. The Ticket Sales Office will reopen on Friday, November 29th at 7am. RIPTA offices and the Flex Service reservation line (1-877-906-FLEX) will not be staffed on Thanksgiving, November 28th.

Full Route 210 Kingston Flex Service will resume Saturday, November 30th. Route 211 Kingston Connection will not operate on Thanksgiving Day, as well as Friday, November 29th. Route 211 Kingston Connection will resume Monday, December 2nd.

Route #30 Brewery Parkade Shuttle
The Route 30 Brewery Parkade Shuttle, which normally operates only on Thursdays, will operate on Wednesday, November 27th instead.

RIPTA, the State’s Mobility Manager, operates over 3,000 daily bus trips on over 50 bus routes throughout the state. Last year, we provided 20 million rides. RIPTA also offers passenger van “Flex” services in areas not served by fixed-route bus service. For more information on schedules or other RIPTA services, please call 781-9400 or visit ripta.com.
