DUE TO PAWTUCKET HOME EXPLOSION, RIPTA TO DETOUR ROUTE 51 (CHARLES ST.) AND ROUTE 73 (FAIRLAWN / CCRI) EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 51 (Charles St.) and Route 73 (Fairlawn/CCRI) due to the recent home explosion on Mineral Spring Avenue in Pawtucket. The detour will be in effect until further notice.

The detour is as follows:

ROUTE 51 (CHARLES ST.):
Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Mineral Spring Avenue and Lonsdale Avenue, right onto Lonsdale Avenue, left onto Weeden Street, continue on Power Road, right onto Mineral Spring Avenue, and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Mineral Spring Avenue and Power Road, then left onto Power Road, continue on Power Road to Weeden Street, right onto Lonsdale Avenue, left onto Mineral Spring Avenue, and then resume the regular route.

ROUTE 73 (FAIRLAWN/CCRI):
Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Mineral Spring Avenue and Power Road, left onto Power Road, continue on Power Road to Weeden Street, right onto Lonsdale Avenue, left onto Mineral Spring and then resume the regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Mineral Spring Avenue and Lonsdale Avenue, right onto Lonsdale Avenue, left onto Weeden Street, continue on to Power Road, right onto Mineral Spring Avenue, and then resume the regular route.
