The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) announced today that with the reopening of the Broad Street Bridge to all traffic, Route 71 (Broad St./Pawtucket Ave.) will resume regular service on Friday, January 10, 2020.   RIPTA suspended Route 71 service over the Broad Street Bridge in Pawtucket, between Barton and Exchange Streets, on May 18, 2017, when the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) placed weight limit restrictions on the bridge. 

Route 71 will resume serving the bus stops at Kennedy Manor and the Walgreens on Broad Street this Friday.
