2022 Marks RIPTA’s 9thAnnual Stuff A Bus Food Drive
The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is partnering with Ocean State Job Lot and I Heart Radio for their annual Stuff A Bus Food Drive to benefit We Share Hope. The public is invited to help Stuff A Bus by donating nonperishable food items such as canned goods and boxed cereal. RIPTA will be collecting food at the Ocean State Job Lot in Johnston.
“This food drive has become such an important holiday tradition for us as a way to give back to the communities we serve,” said Scott Avedisian, RIPTA’s Chief of Executive Officer. It’s also a great example of good community partners working together. We encourage the public to visit the Job Lot location and help us fill the bus with much-needed donations.”
“We are always thrilled to bring together partners like RIPTA and iHeart for this great cause,” said David Sarlitto, Executive Director, Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation. “Every year, there are more Rhode Islanders facing food insecurity, and we hope that the partnership of our three organizations and the support of our incredibly generous customers, ease the need as we go into the holiday season.”
“Our Stations, 94HJY, B101, and NOW 93.3 are always delighted to participate in this event and bring a focus to the issue of food insecurities that we have in our community,” said Rhonda Lapham, Market President, iHeartMedia.
