RIPTA Offers Special Shuttle Service To 37TH Annual Great Chowder Cook-Off On Saturday, June 2, 2018

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is pleased to announce it will offer special shuttle service to the 37TH Annual Great Chowder Cook-Off taking place at Fort Adams State Park on Saturday, June 2, 2018.  For regular fare, passengers may board the “Special” RIPTA bus at the Newport Marriott, 25 America’s Cup Avenue, Newport, RI to go to the Chowder-Cook-Off and then make their return trip at any of the scheduled times.  Passengers will be dropped off and picked up at clearly marked Great Chowder Cook-Off bus stops, located at the Newport Marriott and Fort Adams State Park. Regular one way fare is $2.00; all RIPTA fare products are accepted.  Passengers who spend less than 2 hours at the Cook-Off can purchase a transfer for one dollar for their return trip.  Low income persons with a disability or age 65 and above may ride free of charge with a RIPTA No Fare ID Pass.
