RIPTA TO ADJUST UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND FLEX SERVICE DUE TO WINTER BREAK BEGINNING MONDAY DECEMBER 10, 2012

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will adjust service on Route 210 Kingston Flex , Route 211 Blue Line, and on the URI Hill Climber due to class scheduling and winter break at the University of Rhode Island (URI).

RIPTA will suspend service on the URI Hill Climber beginning Tuesday, December 11 2012.  RIPTA will suspend service on the Route 211 Blue Line beginning Saturday, December 22, 2012.

RIPTA will run abbreviated service on Route 210 Kingston Flex, in conjunction with URI’s Winter Break, from Saturday, December 22nd through January 22nd. Route 210 Kingston Flex will operate during the week from 8:00am – 5:00pm and on weekends from 10:00am – 4:35pm. In addition, the Route 210 Kingston Flex will not provide service from the Richmond Park N’ Ride to the URI Campus after Friday, December 21, 2012.

Regular service on the Route 210 Kingston Flex , Route 211 Blue Line and the Hill Climber will resume on Wednesday, January 23, 2013.  Route 210 Kingston Flex will resume service to the Richmond Park N’ Ride on Wednesday as well.

Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

Route 210 Kingston Flex , Route 211 Blue Line and the Hill Climber  will not operate on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in observance of Christmas Day and Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in observance of New Year’s Day.  The Flex Service reservation line (1-877-906-FLEX) will not be staffed on either holiday.
