RIPTA to Detour Eight Routes And Temporarily Relocate Bus Stops All Day And Night On Thursday, June 6, 2019 To Accommodate Preparations for PVDFest

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour eight bus routes in the Providence area on Thursday, June 6, 2019 in order to accommodate preperations for PVDFest.   Routes 14, 27, 28, 49, 56, 57, 60, and 66 will be detoured all day and night; East Approach will be closed during this time.

The following routes will detour all day and night on June 6, 2019:

Route 14 (West Bay):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the Downtown Exit, I-95N, turn right onto Francis Street, and then left onto Exchange Terrace to Bus Stop Z.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route.

Route 27 (Broadway/Manton Ave.):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Washington Street to temporary Bus Stop W next to the Kennedy Plaza Intermodal Transportation Center.

Outbound trips will leave Exchange Street, turn left onto Exchange Terrace and then resume regular route.

Route 28 (Broadway/Hartford Ave):

Please refer to the Route 27 (Broadway/Manton Ave.) detour.

Route 49 (Camp Street/Miriam Hospital):

Inbound trips will travel regular route to Fulton Street to temporary Bus Stop Y next to theKennedy Plaza Intermodal Transportation Center.

Outbound trips will turn right onto Dorrance Street, right onto Washington Street through the East Side Tunnel, and then resume regular route.

Route 56 (Chalkstone Avenue):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Dorrance Street, and then left onto Washington Street to temporary Bus Stop V next to the Kennedy Plaza Intermodal Transportation Center.

Outbound trips will turn left onto Exchange Street, left onto Exchange Terrace and then resume regular route.

Route 57 (Smith Street):

Please refer to the Route 56 (Chalkstone Avenue) detour.

Route 60 (Providence/Newport):

Inbound trips will travel regular route to Fulton Street to temporary Bus Stop Y next to theKennedy Plaza Intermodal Transportation Center.

Outbound trips will turn right onto Dorrance Street, right onto Memorial Boulevard, and then resume regular route.

Route 66 (URI/Galilee):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the Downtown Exit, right onto Francis Street, left onto Exchange Terrace to Bus Stop Y and then resume regular route to the Providence Train Station.

Outbound trips will travel regular route.
