Press Releases

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour eleven bus routes in the Pawtucket area on Friday, September 6^, 2013 in order to accommodate the Pawtucket Arts Festival – Taste of Blackstone.   Roosevelt Avenue will be closed during this time.  Routes 42, 71, 72, 73, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80 and 99 will be detoured.

The following routes will detour from the first trip of the morning until the last trip of the day:

Route 42 (Hope Street)

Inbound: Trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Main and High Streets, left onto Exchange Street through to Goff Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, and then right onto Commerce Street.  Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union, which is located at 20 Dexter Street. 

Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Goff and Dexter Streets via a right onto Dexter Street through to Park Place, and then resume regular route.

Route 71 (Broad Street)

Inbound: Trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Broad and Goff Streets, then right onto Goff Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Commerce Street, and right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union, which is located at 20 Dexter Street. 

Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Goff and Dexter Streets, via left onto Broad Street, and then resume regular route. 

Route 72 (Weeden/Central Falls)

Inbound: Trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Goff and Dexter Streets.  Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union, which is located at 20 Dexter Street. 

Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Goff and Dexter Streets, via left onto Dexter Street and then resume regular route.

Route 73 (Fairlawn/CCRI)

Inbound: Trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Goff and Dexter Streets.  Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union, which is located at 20 Dexter Street.   

Outbound:  Trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Goff and Dexter Streets via a right onto Dexter Street, right onto Park Place through to Main Street and then resume regular route.

Route 75 (Dexter/Lincoln Mall)

Inbound: Trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel the regular route to Dexter and Goff Streets, then continue on Dexter Street to Bayley Street, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Commerce Street, and then right onto Goff Street.  Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union, which is located at 20 Dexter Street. 

Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Dexter and Goff Streets via a left onto Dexter Street, and then resume regular route.

Route 76 (Central Avenue)

Inbound: Trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Broadway, then left onto Broadway, right onto Exchange Street through to Goff Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Commerce Street, and then right onto Goff Street.  Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union, which is located at 20 Dexter Street. 

Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Goff and Dexter Streets via Goff Street through to Exchange Street, right onto Broadway, left onto Underwood Street, left onto Cottage Street, and then resume regular route. 

Route 77 (Benefit/Broadway)

Inbound: Trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Broadway and Exchange Streets, then right onto Exchange Street through to Goff Street, and left onto Dexter Street.  Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union which is located at 20 Dexter Street.

Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Goff and Dexter Streets via a left onto Main Street and then resume regular route. 

Route 78 (Beverage Hill)

Inbound: Trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Prospect and Division Streets, then left onto Division Street, right onto George Street through to Park Place (West), left onto Main Street, right onto Commerce Street, and then right onto Goff Street.  Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union, which is located at 20 Dexter Street. 

Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave via Goff and Dexter Streets, right onto Dexter Street through to Park Place, left onto Division Street, right onto School Street, and then resume regular route. 

Route 79 (Columbus Avenue)

Inbound: Trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Main and Roosevelt Streets, then right onto High Street, left onto Exchange Street through to Goff Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Commerce Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union, which is located at 20 Dexter Street. 

Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave via Goff and Dexter Streets, right onto Dexter Street, left onto Main Street and then resume regular route. 

Route 80 (Armistice Boulevard)

Inbound: Trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Main and High Streets, then right onto High Street, left onto Exchange Street through to Goff Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Commerce Street, right onto Goff Street and then resume regular route.   Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union, which is located at 20 Dexter Street.

Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Goff and Dexter Streets via a right onto Dexter Street, left onto Main Street and then resume regular route.

Route 99 (Providence/Pawtucket) – Trips Via Main Street

Inbound: Trips into Providence will leave Goff and Dexter Streets via a right onto Dexter Street, and then resume regular route.

Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Providence will travel the regular route to Goff and Dexter Streets. Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union, which is located at 20 Dexter Street. 

Route 99 (Providence/Pawtucket) – Trips Via Pawtucket Avenue

Inbound: Trips into Providence will leave Goff and Dexter Streets via a right onto Dexter Street, travel to Park Place, and then resume regular route.

Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Providence will travel regular route to Main and High Streets, left onto Exchange Street though to Grace Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, and then right onto Commerce Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union, which is located at 20 Dexter Street.
