RIPTA to Detour Five Routes To Accommodate Downtown Transit Connector (DTC) Construction from September 30 – October 31, 2019

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Routes 1, 3, 4, 58, and 62 beginning Monday, September 30 through Thursday, October 31, 2019 to accommodate construction on the Downtown Transit Connector (DTC).   The detour will be in effect from the first trip of the day on September 30 through the last trip of the day on October 31, 2019.

ROUTE 1 (EDDY/HOPE/BENEFIT):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route.

Outbound trips will leave Bus Stop D, turn right onto Dorrance Street, right onto Washington Street, right onto Memorial Boulevard through to Dyer Street continuing onto Eddy Street and then resume regular route.

ROUTE 3 (WARWICK AVE./OAKLAND BEACH):

Please refer to the Route 1 (Eddy/Hope/Benefit) detour.

ROUTE 4 (PAWTUXET VILLAGE/WARWICK NECK):

Please refer to the Route 1 (Eddy/Hope/Benefit) detour.

ROUTE 58 (MINERAL SPRING/NORTH PROVIDENCE):

Northbound trips will travel the regular route.

Southbound trips will travel the regular route to Bus Stop B, turn right onto Dorrance Street, right onto Washington Street, right onto Memorial Boulevard through to Dyer Street continuing onto Eddy Street and then resume regular route.

ROUTE 62 (URI/PROVIDENCE STATION):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to Bus Stop X, turn left onto Dorrance Street, left onto Washington Street, right onto Memorial Boulevard through to Dyer Street continuing onto Eddy Street and then resume regular route.
