The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour nine bus routes in the Pawtucket area on Friday, August 28, 2015 in order to accommodate the Pawtucket Arts Festival’s 17th Annual Taste of the Valley and Blackstone River Party.Roosevelt Avenue will be closed during this time. Routes 1, 71, 72, 73, 75, 76, 78, 80, and the R-Line will be detoured from the first trip of the morning until the last trip of the day.
The following routes will detour as follows:
Route 1 (Eddy/Hope/Benefit):
Northbound trips will travel the regular route to George and Cedar Streets, left onto Cedar Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).
Southbound trips leaving the train station will travel the regular route to Exchange Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Main Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market). Trips will then turn right onto Dexter and resume regular route.
Route 71 (Broad Street):
Inbound tripswill leave Job Lot via the regular route to George and Cedar Streets, left onto Cedar Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market). Inbound trips will t hen continue to left on Broad Street and resume regular route.
Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Broad and Goff Streets, right onto Goff Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Main Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market). Outbound trips will then continue to Job Lot via a right onto Dexter Street and then resume regular route.
Route 72 (Weeden/Central Falls):
Inbound trips will travel regular route to Dexter Street, travel across Exchange Street, right onto Main Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. . Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).
Outbound trips will leave via a left onto Dexter Street and then resume regular route.
Route 73 (Fairlawn/CCRI):
Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Goff and Dexter Streets. Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).
Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Goff and Dexter Streets via a right onto Dexter Street, right onto Park Place through to Main Street and then resume regular route.
Route 75 (Dexter/Lincoln Mall):
Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel the regular route to Dexter and Goff Streets; continue onto Dexter Street, right onto Main Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).
Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Dexter and Goff Streets via a left onto Dexter Street, and then resume regular route.
Route 76 (Central Avenue):
Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Main and Roosevelt Streets, continue onto Main Street, right onto High Street, left onto Exchange Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Main Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).
Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Goff and Dexter Streets via a right onto Dexter Street, left onto Main Street and then resume regular route.
Route 78 (Beverage Hill):
Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Prospect and Division Streets, left onto Division Street, right onto George, left onto Cedar Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).
Route 78 (Beverage Hill) continued:
Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave via Goff and Dexter Streets, right onto Dexter Street through to Park Place, left onto Division Street, right onto School Street, and then resume regular route.
Route 80 (Armistice Boulevard):
Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Main and High Streets, then right onto High Street, left onto Exchange Street through to Goff Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Main Street, right onto Pine Street, right onto Goff Street and then resume regular route. Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).
Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave Goff and Dexter Streets via a right onto Dexter Street, left onto Main Street and then resume regular route.
R-Line (Broad/North Main):
Northbound trips will the regular route to Goff and Dexter Streets. Passengers will board and alight during this time on Goff Street between Commerce and Pine Streets (along the chain link fence just after Armando & Son’s Meat Market).
Southbound trips will the regular route to Goff and Dexter Streets, right onto Dexter Street, and then resume regular route.
