The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour the R-Line (Broad/North Main) on Sunday, June 29, 2014 in order to accommodate Cyclovía Providence. The detour will be in effect from 11:00am until 5:00pm. Cyclovía Providence is a car-free event that opens Providence streets to people so that they can walk, skate, run, bicycle, exercise, and socialize. The detour is as follows:
Northbound tripswill travel the regular route to Broad and Prairie Streets, right onto Prairie Street, left onto Thurbers Avenue, right onto Broad Street and then resume regular route.
Southbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Broad and Thurbers Avenue, left onto Thurbers Avenue, right onto Prairie Street through to Broad Street and then resume regular route.
