The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour the Route 27 (Broadway/Manton) and Route 28 (Broadway/Hartford) on Sunday, August 17, 2014 in order to accommodate Cyclovía Providence. The detour will be in effect from Noon until 4:00pm.
Cyclovía Providence is a car-free event that opens Providence streets to people so that they can walk, skate, run, bicycle, exercise, and socialize. The following routes will be on detour on Sunday, August 17, 2014:
Route 27 (Broadway/Manton)
Route 28 (Broadway/Hartford)
Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Broadway and Service Road, left onto Service Road, right onto Westminster Street, right onto Barton Street, left onto Broadway, and then resume regular route.
Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Broadway and Barton Street, right onto Barton Street, left onto Westminster Street, left onto Franklin Street, right onto Broadway, and then resume regular route.
