RIPTA TO DETOUR ROUTE 42 (HOPE ST) TO ACCOMMODATE CYCLOVÍA PROVIDENCE ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2013

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 42 (Hope St.) on Sunday, September 15, 2013 in order to accommodate Cyclovía Providence. The detour will be in effect from 10:00am until 4:00pm. 

Cyclovía Providence is a car-free event that opens Providence streets to people so that they can walk, skate, run, bicycle, exercise, and socialize.  This is a free event open to the public and fun for people of all ages.  For more information on this event, please visit http://www.providenceri.com/healthy-communities/providence-cyclovia-2013-0.

The detour is as follows:

ROUTE #42 (HOPE ST.):

Inbound tripswill travel the regular route to the intersection of Hope Street and Blackstone Boulevard, left onto Blackstone Boulevard, right onto Elmgrove Avenue, right onto Rochambeau Avenue, left onto Hope Street,  and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Hope Street and Rochambeau Avenue, right onto Rochambeau Avenue, left onto Elmgrove Avenue, left onto Blackstone Boulevard, right onto Hope Street and then resume regular route.
