The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 42 (Hope Street) to accommodate the Hope Street Merchants Association Festival. The detour will be in effect beginning at 12:00pm on Saturday, May 18^th until 7:00pm that day. 

The following route detour will be in effect on May 18, 2013:

Route #42 (Hope Street):       

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Hope Street and Rochambeau Avenue, right onto Rochambeau Avenue, left onto Elmgrove Avenue, left onto Blackstone Boulevard, right onto Hope Street, and then resume regular route.

Inbound tripswill travel the regular route to Hope Street and Blackstone Boulevard, left onto Blackstone Boulevard, right onto Elmgrove Avenue, right onto Rochambeau Avenue, left onto Hope Street, and then resume regular route.
