RIPTA TO DETOUR ROUTE 54 (LINCOLN/WOONSOCKET) AND 87 (FAIRMOUNT/WALNUT HILL) TO ACCOMMODATE WOONSOCKET AUTUMNFEST ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2017

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detours Route 54 (Lincoln/Woonsocket) and Route 87 (Fairmount/Walnut Hill) to accommodate the Woonsocket AutumnFest Parade.   Routes 54 and 87 will be detoured beginning at 8:30am until 1:00pm on Monday, October 9, 2017.  Main Street will be closed between Court Street and Cumberland Hill during this time. Bus stops along this section of Main Street will be temporarily relocated to the Depot Square.

The following detours will be in effect on Monday, October 9, 2017:

Route 54 (Lincoln/Woonsocket):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Depot Square, right onto Main Street and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route, turn left onto River Street, right onto Verry Street, right onto Harris Avenue through to Railroad Street, right onto Main Street to the temporary bus stop at Depot Square.

Route 87 (Fairmount/Walnut Hill):

Eastbound trips will travel the regular route to the temporary bus stop at Depot Square, right onto Main Street, left onto Court Street through to Hamlet Street, left onto Cumberland Street, right onto Cass Avenue and then resume regular route.

Westbound trips will travel the regular route to Cass Avenue, left onto Cumberland Street, right onto Hamlet through to Court Street to High Street, right onto Arnold Street, right Railroad Street, right onto Main Street to the temporary bus stop at Depot Square, and then resume regular route.
