RIPTA to Detour Routes 1 and 58 to Accommodate Downtown Transit Connector (DTC) Construction from November 8 – November 29, 2019

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 1 Northbound (Eddy/Hope/Benefit) and Route 58 (Mineral Spring/North Providenced) beginning Friday, November 8 through Friday, November 29, 2019 to accommodate construction on the Downtown Transit Connector (DTC). The detour will be in effect from the first trip of the day on November 8 through the last trip of the day on November 29, 2019.

ROUTE 1 (EDDY/HOPE/BENEFIT):

Northbound trips from RI Hospital will travel the regular route to the intersection of Dyer and Dorrance Streets, continue onto Dyer Street through to Memorial Boulevard, left onto Steeple Street, left onto Exchange Street, right onto Fulton Street, right onto Dorrance Street, and then right onto Washington Street to Bus Stop I.

Southbound trips will travel the regular route.

ROUTE 58 (MINERAL SPRING/NORTH PROVIDENCE):

Northbound trips from RI Hospital will travel the regular route to the intersection of Dyer and Dorrance Streets, continue onto Dyer Street through to Memorial Boulevard, left onto Steeple Street, left onto Exchange Street, right onto Fulton Street, right onto Dorrance Street, and then right onto Washington Street to Bus Stop G.

Southbound trips will travel the regular route.
