RIPTA TO DETOUR ROUTES 60, 63 AND 67 IN NEWPORT BEGINNING MONDAY, JULY 25, 2016 TO ACCOMMODATE CONSTRUCTION

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Routes 60, 63 and 67 in Newport to accommodate construction on Broadway. The detour will be in effect from Monday, July 25, 2016 until further notice.  A temporary bus stop will be added at the corner of Dr. Marcus Wheatland Boulevard and Collins Street.

The following routes will be on detour beginning Monday, July 25, 2016: 

Route 60 (Providence/Newport):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to Broadway and Dr. Marcus Wheatland Blvd., turn right onto Dr. Marcus Wheatland Blvd., right onto Marlborough Street and then resume regular route.

Route 63 (Broadway/Middletown Shops):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Broadway and Dr. Marcus Wheatland Blvd., turn right onto Dr. Marcus Wheatland Blvd., right onto Marlborough Street and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route.

Route 67 (Bellevue/Mansions):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Mann Avenue and Broadway, right onto Broadway, left onto Gould Street, left onto Equality Park West through to Dr. Marcus Wheatland Blvd., right onto Marlborough Street and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route.
