RIPTA TO HOLD COMMUNITY MEETINGS TO DISCUSS COMPREHENSIVE FARE STUDY

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will hold community meetings and an open house to solicit feedback from the public for the authority’s  transit fare study.   This is an opportunity for passengers to provide feedback on potential new fare policies, fare products, smart cards, passes, cash, transfers, and more.

This past April, RIPTA launched a transit fare study that will review all fare products it offers as well as the rates that are charged. One of the main goals of the study is to determine if RIPTA is offering the types of fare products that best meet passengers’ needs.  

Passengers are encouraged to attend one of the community meetings or the open house:
