RIPTA’s Winter Service Changes To Take Effect Saturday, January 19, 2019

January 2, 2019

Press Releases

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will implement winter service changes effective January 19, 2019.   RIPTA makes regular service adjustments several times a year in response to seasonal changes and/or passenger use.

2019 Winter Service Changes

These annual changes are moderate and include rescheduling for better on-time performance.  For many routes, only a slight trip time change occurred.  Routes 32, 33 and 34 will no longer operate through downtown Providence to Routes 17 and 19.

New Service to Quonset Business Park Starts January 22, 2019

Passengers are strongly encouraged to check new schedules for how service changes may affect them.  They may also pick up the leaflet entitled Winter Service Changes Effective January 19, 2019 that is available at Kennedy Plaza; the leaflet is also viewable online.
