As weather and road conditions deteriorate with Winter Storm Grayson hitting the state, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) announced that all bus service will end by 2 pm today, Thursday, January 4, 2018.   RIPTA will work to reinstate service on Friday, January 5, 2018, as soon as conditions are safe.  RIPTA apologizes for any inconveniences and reminds the public that safety remains our top priority. RIPTA is continuing to work with state emergency officials as we focus first on safety, and second on attempting to accommodate as many passengers as possible.

RIPTA will announce service impacts for Friday, January 5, 2018, as soon as a decision is made. In order to get the latest news from RIPTA, passengers are urged to  sign up for electronic RIPTA News updates at https://www.ripta.com/service-alerts.  RIPTA will e-mail system disruption notices to passengers on this distribution list.
